“Bourdieu, Capital, and Conflict in a Religious Field: The Case of the ‘Homosexuality’: Conflict in the Anglican Communion” by Andrew M. McKinnon, Marta Trzebiatowska, Christopher Craig

Editor’s Note: It is not possible to assess Ecclesiastical Polity through the “four types of capital” (ie, economic, cultural, social, and symbolic) of Bourdieu’s social theory, because the Holy Spirit cannot be measured by humanly-perceivable statistics (other than the fruits of the Faith) and God in His omnipotence is impossible to be measured by human intellect or human instrumentation. This paper sits here so that orthodox Christians can see the harrowing extent to which popular miunderstandings of Christ and the Church are meandered through pedantic blind alleys. Enjoy?
